Abstract

This article examines the role of illustrations in the historical texts of Boburnama and Shayboninama. Both works, significant to Central Asian historiography, contain visual representations that enhance the narrative, providing insights into the sociopolitical context, cultural norms, and everyday life of the era. The study analyzes the artistic techniques, themes, and symbolism found in the illustrations, demonstrating how these visuals serve not only as artistic embellishments but also as historical documents that reflect the authors' perspectives and the broader historical context of the 15th and 16th centuries.
