INTERACTION OF YOUTH SLANG AND CULTURAL VALUES OF THE PEOPLE
Abstract
The article discusses the features, sources of replenishment and etymological aspects of youth slang in the modern Russian language. Some historical aspects of the emergence of the concept of slang and changes in its meaning are given. The study identifies and describes the main varieties of this phenomenon: youth, professional, as well as slang associated with hobbies and interests. Youth slang is classified depending on the social group and includes school, student, network, gamer, hacker, subcultural. The work also draws conclusions about the positive and negative aspects of the influence of slang on the state of the modern Russian literary language.
