Abstract

The development of professional competence among future specialists, particularly in educational and scientific fields, demands a strong emphasis on research competence. This article explores the key requirements for fostering professional competence, focusing on the enhancement of research capabilities within both pre-service and in-service teacher training programs. Drawing from theoretical frameworks and empirical studies, the discussion highlights strategies and pedagogical conditions necessary for equipping educators with the skills to conduct meaningful research. The paper emphasizes the integration of research-based learning, reflective practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration as essential elements in the development of a research-oriented professional identity.
