SIMMENTAL CATTLE IMPORTED TO THE SOUTHERN REGIONS OF OUR REPUBLIC

Abstract

Cattle of the Simmental breed have good fattening properties: during the period of fattening in the barn, the daily growth of young cattle is 900-1000 grams, the slaughter yield of cattle is 56%, those fed to the fattening area are 65%, the meat is fatty and high in calories. Simmental cattle are one of the most popular breeds in the world.

Holstein cattle have been imported to Uzbekistan since 1985-1987. The frozen seeds of purebred bulls of this breed are being used to improve other breeds, especially Black-Ola breeds.

Simmental cattle were created in Switzerland, a breed created by the selection and mating of local cattle on the banks of the Simma River in the valley. The creation of this breed is due to the natural and historical conditions - the wealth of pasture plants of the alpine mountains and hills, as well as the healthy weather of the mountain regions, and economic factors: the contribution of agricultural exports to the contribution of products obtained from cattle breeding - milk, oil, cheese, meat, and so on. The sale of pedigree cattle has accelerated the possibilities of creating a breed.
