Abstract

The article discusses the problems of studying derivational morphemes that form a new lexeme, which is crucial for understanding its very essence. It may be characterized by variation due to the influence of various factors and allowing for quantitative research, and an indispensable condition for morpheme variants is that they have phonetic similarities and research morphological phenomena in close connection with syntactic and lexical phenomena and based on certain linguistic research methods. In addition, the analysis procedure itself contained a significant defect, which consisted in the fact that the use of the morpheme of similarity in substantive bases was interpreted as its distributive feature – compatibility with the bases of certain semantic categories or sub-categories.
