DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND THE PREVENTIVE EFFICACY OF ITS: AN ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

The article examines modern mechanisms for ensuring road safety within the framework of transport sector digitalization and the "Smart City" concept. The author analyzes the strategic role of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in preventing traffic violations and reducing road fatalities. Based on international concepts such as "Vision Zero" and "Safe System," the study highlights gaps in the national legislation of Uzbekistan, specifically regarding the procedural status of digital evidence and data integration issues. Finally, the author proposes original recommendations for enhancing ITS infrastructure.
