Abstract

Abstract. In the article English language edge The linguodidactic foundations of the targeted use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools in teaching as a language are analyzed. The main goal of the research is to combine the capabilities of GenAI with the principles of communicative, competency-based and person- centered education, while maintaining academic integrity, critical thinking, cultural-pragmatic relevance and teacher control. GenAI tools English A linguodidactic model, a system of criteria, and scenarios for use in the classroom were developed for integration into language lessons. The proposed approach interprets GenAI not as a technology that replaces the teacher , but as a didactic tool that enriches language input, provides feedback on written speech, increases dialogic exercises, and supports differentiated learning.
