Abstract

Abstract. Transport logistics is a fundamental component of modern economic systems, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, services, and information across supply chains. In the context of globalization and rapid technological development, logistics has evolved from a simple transportation function into a complex, integrated system that includes planning, coordination, monitoring, and optimization of material flows. This article examines the essence of transport logistics, its functional structure, and its role in economic development.

The main objective of this study is to analyze modern trends in transport logistics and evaluate its impact on economic efficiency and competitiveness. Special attention is given to digital transformation, intelligent transport systems, and multimodal transportation networks. The research highlights key challenges such as infrastructure limitations, high transportation costs, congestion, and environmental impacts.

The study shows that modern logistics systems significantly improve supply chain performance through the integration of information technologies such as GPS tracking, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics. Furthermore, the development of multimodal transport corridors enhances international trade and regional connectivity.

The results indicate that countries investing in logistics infrastructure achieve higher economic growth and improved trade efficiency. The article concludes that transport logistics is not only a technical system but also a strategic economic factor that determines the competitiveness of national economies in the global market.
