IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE IN TEACHING SPECIALIZED SUBJECTS BASED ON A COMPETENCY-BASED APPROACH

Abstract. This article analyzes the issues of developing students’ professional competence in teaching specialized subjects based on a competency-based approach. The components of professional competence, factors influencing its formation, and methodologies for its development through modern pedagogical technologies are examined. In addition, the advantages of using problem-based learning, project-based methods, practical training, and digital educational technologies are discussed. The results of the study indicate that the competency-based approach contributes to the development of students’ independent thinking, ability to solve professional problems, and practical skills.
