Abstract

This article presents a comparative study of mythological creatures depicted in English and Uzbek literature. The research examines their origins, symbolic functions, narrative roles, and cultural significance. The analysis highlights how each cultural tradition constructs mythological beings as reflections of collective memory, social values, and worldview. Differences in character typology, moral functions, and imaginative frameworks are explored through representative literary and folkloric sources.
