This scholarly analytical article examines the legal foundations for implementing Electronic Financial Systems (EFS), such as ERP/GFMIS, in Uzbekistan's defense sector. It highlights the necessity of strengthening the regulatory and legal base, drawing on national strategies and international experience, to ensure that digitalization delivers efficiency, transparency, and security. Specific legislative proposals are presented concerning data security, digital audit, and the mandatory implementation of ISO standards, which could potentially enhance budget discipline by up to 15%.
