Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of the legal framework and system of protection of copyright and related rights in Uzbekistan. The historical development of copyright, cooperation within the framework of international conventions, in particular the Berne and Maroc Conventions, is analyzed. The main provisions, subjects and objects of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Copyright and Related Rights" are highlighted. The powers and obligations of collective management organizations are also outlined. The digitization of intellektual property registration processes and the strengthening of control mechanisms are highlighted. The article highlights the role of intellektual property rights protection in economic and innovative development.
